Users

Users is where you create the people who work with Log+Key and define how they may sign in: in the browser, at the terminal or both. The list shows roles, location access and sign-in methods; from the detail page you reset passwords, generate one-time PINs and assign objects.

The user list with roles, location access and the two sign-in methods – Job title, Company and Phone number are hidden via View.

What you see here

Each row is one person with First name, Last name, Email, Job title, Company and Phone number, plus the details that govern access:

  • Roles – the standard roles User, Admin and Owner or your organisation’s own roles, several at once if needed.
  • Locations – Access to all locations or the locations the person has been given.
  • Access in browser and Access in terminal – the two sign-in methods, switched individually.
  • Taken objects – how many objects the person currently has.

Above the list sit Search, the Filter by Roles and Location, View and Add.

What you can do here

  • Create: Add opens the form with name, email, sign-in methods, roles, location access, one-time PIN and login tag. With browser access the person automatically receives an email with the link to set their password.
  • Detail page: clicking a row shows the master data with Edit, Object assignment – assign objects directly to a person without them taking the objects out themselves – and More actions → Generate receipt, Generate one-time PIN, Reset password and Show history.
  • Revoke access: in the edit form, switch both sign-in methods off and save. Deleting also sits in the edit form; the person’s history stays complete.

Who sees this page

Visible with the permission Manage Users – Admins and Owners by default. Users don’t see this area – they maintain their own data and PIN in the profile. Which roles exist and what they may do is defined under Managing roles and permissions.
