The page has five sections; you apply changes with Save at the bottom.
Notification settings
- Object transfers: when a person takes over an object someone else currently has, Log+Key can inform the previous holder by email.
- Emails for overdue objects: when a return date is exceeded, the current holder receives an email. You can also add addresses that are notified about all overdue objects – the key management team, for example.
- Email receipts: Global email recipients: the addresses entered here automatically receive a copy of every PDF receipt sent by email.
Terminal settings
Automatically log out user in terminal due to inactivity – with the number of seconds after which a signed-in user is logged out at the terminal when idle. A short value prevents the next person from working under someone else’s name.
Default return deadline
Rules by which Log+Key sets a return deadline automatically when an object is taken out. If several rules apply to one take-out, the shortest deadline wins. Without rules the deadline stays empty until someone picks a return date when taking out – Add first rule gets you started.
Role Management
The list of all roles of your organisation – initially Admin, Owner and User – with the buttons Add Role and Manage permissions. The latter opens the permission matrix in which every role gets its ticks. Step by step: Managing roles and permissions.
Language settings
The Default language for new users – German or English. Every person can switch their own language at any time in the profile menu.
What is not here
Custom fields for objects are set up by Log+Key for you; there is no section for them in the settings. Plan, billing information and cancellation live under Billing & Subscription.
Who sees this page
Visible with the permission Manage Settings – Admins and Owners by default. Role management additionally requires Configure Roles and Permissions, which only the Owner holds by default.
