What you see here
The object list opens right after you sign in. Each row is one object with these columns:
- Status – Available, In use or Overdue once a return date has passed.
- Object and Description – name and free text, for example “Teilnehmer 0101 – Hauptstraße 1” with the contract number in the description.
- Taken by – who currently has the object.
- Type, Location and Storage location – the category and the fixed place, such as “Schlüsselschrank 1, Haken 3”.
- Your organisation’s custom fields, such as a locking system or contract number, as extra columns on the right.
Above the list you find the Search (it matches names, descriptions and custom-field values), the Filter with Taken by me, Overdue, Archived, Location and Type, and View, which lets you show, hide and reorder columns – the selection is remembered. Archived objects leave the normal list and only appear with the Archived filter.
What you can do here
Clicking a row opens the detail page with status, location, type, description, storage location, custom fields and photos. The actions live there:
- Take an available object, return one of your own, or take over an object someone else currently has. You confirm every action with your personal PIN – optionally with a comment, a return date and a signature.
- Edit master data, photos, the linked tag and custom fields.
- More actions → History, Photo history, Archive, Object exchange and Assign object.
Add above the list creates a new object; only the name is mandatory. Objects are never deleted, only archived – their history stays complete.
Object limit: every plan permits a certain number of objects – ten on the free plan; archived ones don’t count. When your stock approaches the limit, Log+Key warns you; once it is reached, no further objects can be created. If the stock exceeds the limit, for example after switching to a smaller plan, take-outs and returns are blocked until archiving brings you back within the limit – details under Billing & Subscription.
Who sees this page
All roles with the permission View Objects or Manage Objects see the object list – among the standard roles, that is everyone. What the detail page offers is governed by individual permissions: Take/Return Objects, Object Transfers and Object Exchange for everyday work, Manage Objects (create, edit), Archive and Object Assignment for administration. With the standard roles everyone takes, returns, takes over and exchanges; Admins and Owners may additionally create, edit, archive and assign. The permission Only Own Objects restricts a role to its own loans, and restricted location access shows only the objects of the permitted locations. How to grant permissions: Managing roles and permissions.
