Version 2.4.0
Released
Log+Key 2.4 brings NFC tag sign-in at the terminal, expanded object assignment, more precise user and contact management, and reminders for overdue keys.
New
- You can now sign in at the terminal with your personal NFC tag – signing in via the user list and PIN remains available. Terminal Guide →
- Object assignment now supports hardware NFC readers for faster scanning, objects can also be assigned to contacts, and you can search by company when assigning.
- For each person, you decide individually whether they may sign in on a computer, a smartphone or at the terminal, and profiles now include company, job title and phone number. Guide →
- Custom fields can now be marked as required. Guide →
Improved
- Automatic email reminders for overdue keys are now available to all customers.
- Your language setting is saved permanently, and Log+Key now also uses your organisation's language for sign-in, user creation and emails.
- The history now records which NFC tag was involved in take-outs, returns, take-overs and assignments, and also logs when a tag is unlinked while editing an object.
- Terminal dialogues no longer close by accident when you tap outside them, the ‘Options’ section only appears when there are options, a loading indicator accompanies PIN changes, and notifications can be dismissed with a click.
Fixed
- Bug fixes for returns with an email receipt, the recipient selection at the terminal, times on receipts and saved return dates.
- Bug fixes for comment presets at the terminal, searching the history, location selection and the mobile view; users without a stored language can now sign in.

Version 2.3.0
Released
Log+Key 2.3 speaks English, lets new customers sign up on their own, extends object assignment and makes the history and receipts clearer.
New
- The interface is now also available in English – a click on your username at the bottom left is all it takes to switch.
- New customers can now sign up for Log+Key themselves and get started straight away with their own organisation.
- A new permission ensures that, for example, external partners see only the keys and objects assigned to them. Web app
- Receipts can now be re-sent from the detail view of a history entry.
Improved
- Objects can now be assigned even while they are ‘In use’, and object assignment is available directly from ‘More actions’ with a simpler layout.
- In the history, you can now filter by exact time, by your own entries only or by ‘Receipt sent’, and the detail view shows the person concerned right in the header.
- The terminal remembers sorting, hidden columns and filters, and the ‘All objects’ view sorts consistently. Terminal
- The object overview can show the object description, and ‘Last used by’ now takes object assignments into account.
Fixed
- Bug fixes at the terminal, including PIN entry, object selection, email receipts and returns after a takeover. Terminal
- Bug fixes for PDF receipts, the history with location restrictions, the CSV export and line breaks in comments; save buttons now show a loading state so no duplicate entries are created.
-
Version 2.2.0
Released
Log+Key 2.2 adds notes and exceptions to the inventory, makes take-overs at the terminal more flexible and fixes numerous issues in the mobile view.
New
- In an inventory, you can now add several notes and save them with a dedicated button, and create inventory-only objects to document exceptions.
Improved
- When taking over objects at the terminal, you choose directly whether they are taken out or returned, and a dedicated comment preset is available for take-overs. Terminal
- Receipt templates can now use all object fields and custom fields, and the history can be filtered by ‘Receipt created’.
- Comments and descriptions can now contain line breaks.
- Inventories can also include objects without a location, and completed inventories are hidden by default, just like archived objects.
Fixed
- At the terminal, scans, screen input and comments keep an ongoing process active, and custom fields can only be edited with the matching permission. Terminal
- Bug fixes in the mobile view, for PDF receipts, default loan durations and the inventory.
-
Version 2.1.0
Released
Log+Key 2.1 records sent email receipts in the history and lets you edit custom fields when taking out or returning at the terminal.
Note for administrators
From this version, new users get access to all locations by default. When creating a user, check whether you want to restrict their access.
New
- The history now records which email receipts were sent for an action and to whom; you can filter by signed entries, sent receipts and recipients.
- Custom fields can now be edited directly when taking out or returning at the terminal. Terminal
- A receipt can be created directly when archiving objects, and PDF templates offer a placeholder for the object description.
- Type detail pages now show the relevant statistics. Web app
Improved
- The user overview shows roles and locations in their own columns, and the ‘More actions’ menu takes you straight to a user's personal history. Web app
- In the inventory, the detail and scanning views are split across pages when there are more than ten keys.
- Every scan at the terminal resets the inactivity timer, so you are not signed out in the middle of a process. Terminal
Changed

Fixed
- Bug fixes for sending email receipts from the terminal and for the recipient selection. Terminal
- Bug fixes for searching tags with special characters; changes to your own profile now take effect without signing in again.
-
Version 2.0.0
Released
Log+Key 2.0 brings a redesigned interface, a faster workflow at the terminal, a more flexible inventory and an optimised mobile view.
New
- When keys are taken out or returned, a PDF receipt can be sent by email – also afterwards from the history.
- When linking a free NFC tag to an existing object, you can edit the object's data at the same time, for example to adjust a field or take a photo. Guide →
Improved
- The interface has been redesigned: table columns can be shown, hidden and rearranged individually, filters are more compact, the history shows actions such as take-out or return as badges, and breadcrumbs make it easier to find your way.
- No pre-selection is needed at the terminal any more: scan your object and take it out or return it in a single step; users are listed alphabetically, and object details open with a double-click. Terminal
- The inventory now takes types and object-movement periods into account and is clearer to use overall.
- The mobile view focuses on the essentials: fewer filters, more room for objects and a more clearly structured detail view.
- Changing your PIN in the web app now works as it does at the terminal: first your current PIN, then the new one twice.
Changed
- The history no longer contains automatically generated comments such as ‘Assigned by …’ – this information now appears in a structured way within each entry.
Fixed
- Bug fixes at the terminal, including take-outs with a signature, the ‘All’ and ‘All taken out’ tabs and the loading indicator for the object list. Terminal
- Bug fixes for the inventory, the history, linking NFC tags and editing users.
