Your benefits
What history and live status give you
-
Live status at a glance
Every object shows whether it is available, in use or overdue, and who currently holds it. “Last used by” also takes assignments to people into account.
-
Complete history
Checkouts, returns, transfers, assignments, master-data changes and newly created users: Log+Key logs everything with time and person. Nothing is ever deleted from the history.
-
Search, filters and export
Free-text search and filters by location, type, period or time of day, only your own entries or “receipt sent”. Lists and history export as CSV.
How it works
From key name to history entry
-
Search
Type a name, number or description into the search of the object list. The list filters live, optionally by location or type as well, and shows status and current holder right in the row.
-
Open the object
The detail page shows photo, master data, location, the linked NFC tag and the live status. When an object is swapped, the previous photo is kept in the photo history.
-
Read the history
The history tab lists every event with time, person and the NFC tag involved. The detail view names the person concerned in its header, and from there you can send a receipt again.
From the field
Property managers know the question that comes with every contractor appointment: where is the key for that building? With Log+Key, one search on the desktop answers it, not a phone chain through the team.
Frequently asked questions
Answers about history and live status
-
Does Log+Key replace the key logbook?
Yes. Every checkout and return is logged automatically, with time, person and object. Unlike a paper logbook or a spreadsheet, nothing can be overwritten or forgotten, and a search takes seconds instead of paging through. See the direct comparison Log+Key vs. Excel key log, and the features overview for everything else.
-
What happens to the history when a user is deleted or an object is archived?
Nothing is lost. If you delete a user, their entries remain complete. If you archive an object, its history stays. As a rule, nothing is ever deleted from the history.
-
Can every team member see the whole history?
Not if you don’t want them to. Users can be restricted to locations and then only see the objects and entries of their locations. External partners can be limited to the objects assigned to them. Which role may do what is up to you, see Setting user roles and security.
