Every handover documented, no paperwork
An on-screen signature, a PDF receipt by email and a return deadline with automatic reminders: Log+Key documents checkout and return so that you can prove them later.

Your benefits
What handover with proof gives you
-
Signature on checkout and return
The person taking over signs directly on screen. Log+Key stores signature, date and name with the history entry, and a missing signature can be added later.
-
PDF receipt by email
Every checkout and return can be sent as a PDF receipt to any email address or to a saved contact, in your organisation’s layout if you wish.
-
Return deadline with reminder
For every checkout you set when the key has to be back. Once it is overdue, Log+Key sends an automatic email reminder, so nobody has to chase by phone.
How it works
From checkout to receipt in three steps
-
Checkout with a return deadline
Your team members or external partners check out the key by scanning on a smartphone, at the terminal or on the desktop, and pick the return date. At the terminal this works for many keys in a single pass.
-
Signature on screen
Whoever takes over or returns the key signs directly on the device. Signature, date and name are stored with the history entry of the handover and stay there permanently.
-
Send the receipt, again if needed
The PDF receipt goes by email to the person holding the key or to a saved contact, such as the contractor. From the detail view of a history entry you can send any receipt again later.
From the field
Outpatient care providers use the receipts as a handover record for clients and their relatives: who took over the flat key and when is documented with a signature.
Frequently asked questions
Answers about handover and receipt
-
Does the receipt replace a paper key handover record?
The receipt records as a PDF which object was checked out or returned, when and by whom; the signature stays stored with the history entry. Log+Key documents the handover the way a paper record does, just without the binder and the searching. Whether the document is sufficient for your specific case is best checked with your legal adviser.
-
Can I send a receipt again later?
Yes. Open the entry in the history and send the receipt again from there, to the same or a different address. In the history you can also filter by “receipt sent” to see which handovers have no receipt yet. The features overview lists everything else Log+Key does.
-
Where are signatures and receipts stored?
In your Log+Key account, on servers in Germany. Nothing is ever deleted from the history, not even when a user is removed or an object is archived. How Log+Key protects your data is explained on the security page.
